Liberal candidates call the Prime Minister “Un-Canadian”

with one comment

Some Liberal candidates have got a head start on their party’s traditional smear campaign. But there are some limits, some things that are out of bounds for candidates to say at elections.

Amongst those are calling your political opponents “Un-Canadian”.  That in itself is Un-Canadian.

Two examples from Ontario.

The first is from Rebecca Finch, the Liberal Candidate for Dufferin Caledon.  In a blog post titled “Never post a blog when you’re angry“, she wrote:

And, being a big fan of that self-inflicted advice, I’ll have to write later on the shameful arts program cuts made by Harper’s sad, undemocratic, un-Canadian, dishonest, close-minded, elitist, morally bankrupt, over-zealous, bigoted, chauvinist, and ignorant excuse for a government.

The next is from Andrew Lang, the Liberal candidate in Toronto-Danforth in a blog post titled: “Does Harper Hate Canada?“:

By placing an embargo on Canadian culture abroad, Stephen Harper is saying, in no uncertain terms, that he does not like this representation of Canada. Since our arts communities are an accurate reflection of Canada, Stephen Harper is admitting that he really doesn’t like Canadians.

How disgusting that Liberal leader Stephane Dion has to lower himself to supporting these bigoted and supremacist candidates.
