Here are the May rankings for Canada’s Top 25 Political Blogs. The explainer for this list is here. As you may know, about half of the list are being sued. Among those being sued are SDA, Ezra Levant, and Five Feet of Fury. Not on the list but also being sued are Chris Tindall, and potentially Terry Glavin. Finally, doing some of the suing is self-described ‘pompous ass’ Warren Kinsella down there at #21. Obviously you can visit their sites and contribute to their legal defence. And you can also visit Kinsella’s site and – well it’s a shame blogs don’t have windows, so I don’t know what you can do over at Kinsella’s site.
There are two popular blogs that I haven’t included in consideration for this list. The two sites left out are Chinese in Vancouver, and Kamangir. Kamangir is enormously popular, but I’ve left it out of the rankings because it doesn’t focus on Canadian politics (other than occasionally attacking me of all people). I’ve left out Chinese in Vancouver, because it focuses only on politics as they relate to a single ethnic group – so it doesn’t seem broad enough to be considered a ‘Canadian’ political blog. I’m pretty confident I’ve made the right decision on Kamangir – less confident I’ve made the right decision on Chinese in Vancouver. Other opinions in favour or opposed to excluding these blogs are welcome.

I had a feeling my PR was up to 5 again, because early last month I started getting spam again from people eager for “link exchanges”. I think it’s taken a bit of a tumble more recently, or is on a bit of a downward trend though, because I’ve been getting no emails like that the last couple weeks.
Odd. Sitemter tells me my yraffic has surged, but my Alexa rank has dropped.
Sitemeter is weird. I don’t really trust it that much. Try using Google Analytics. My company has an IT division, when we set up webstats for companies we always use Google Analytics. The numbers are wildly different from what you have on Sitemeter, which makes me think they’re much more accurate.

Ezra is not only being sued as he talks a lot about- he is also suing i.e me, a former employee of his at the WS.
Ezra is suing me for defamation for $100,000 for a letter I wrote and had published in Calgary’s FFWD publication.
I think its only fair I can talk about this if Ezra can blog about all the law suits he faces.
I support his fight against the HRC’s [the rest of this sentence has been removed - Robert].
So far I am in debt to a local lawyer for $5,300 to defend my right to publish a letter. care to help? email me at merlet@shaw.ca

I’m in Alexa freefall! Alexa Says no one came to my blog from the USA? Statcounter and bluehost differ.
Every meter gives me different numbers. Way different! Some of it’s hotlinking but not all.
