SEE AN UPDATE ON THE FELTON’S TALK HERE
Amazon is fantastic. I love it when you find a book and scroll down the page to the “Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought” section. It tells you all you need to know about the intended audience for your purchase.
Vancouver’s city librarians may not be aware of this neat feature, but I would encourage them to familiarize themselves with it. It might save them some trouble in the future.
There’s a book out there called: “The Host and the Parasite: How Israel’s Fifth Column Consumed America” written by a fellow named Greg Felton. Look it up on Amazon, scroll down to the ‘also bought’ section for it and you’ll find these titles:
- “The Jews and Their Lies”
- “The Synagogue of Satan”
- “The Case Against Israel”
- “Auschwitz Lies”
That’s not at all ambiguous. Nor are the reviews, nor is the writer. If you hate you some Jews, you’ll love you some Greg Felton.
And thanks to the above mentioned librarians’ carelessness, he’ll be speaking on Monday, February 25th at the Vancouver Public Library.
Felton is an overt anti-semite. He’s, as they say, “out”. Just look at his website - look past the Star of David festooned over the masthead of the Globe and Mail, look past the picture of PMSH pledging allegiance to the Israeli flag and take a look at Felcher’s articles. Here’s one praising Amahdinejad:
First of all, we should ask: “Should Israel be on the map in the first place?” Loyal readers of this space know the answer … Israel is a criminal entity that has never had a moral, legal or political right to exist. Score one for Ahmadinejad.
He’s just despicable. But I certainly don’t want to prevent this person from freely ‘monger’ing his hate - I think it’s a good thing that people like that identify themselves. Terry Glavin said this very succinctly: “Facts alone condemn Felton. They need no help from me.”
But giving him a public venue and paying to promote him with public money, that’s nothing to do with free speech. He has a right to say whatever he wants (excluding libel, etc… obviously), but there’s no way he has the right to public money to do it. The city just has to cancel his talk. If he wants to be a nut, he’s within his rights to do it out on the street with all the rest of his kind.
You can read much more about this on Terry Glavin’s site.
If you are in Vancouver on the 25th, I do recommend attending the lecture with your camera. I intend to go and take lots of pictures of the applauding little Eichmans for posting here.

Well drawn distinction: you support his freedom of speech, regardless of how hateful his views may be. What you object to is the use of your tax money to financially support the distribution of his message.
Why is it that such a large number of people do not get the difference between the two?
(Oh, wait, I was supposed to disagree, or at least use some inflamatory phrases, as per your ‘blog’ post….right?) :0)
My colleagues and I will be there with friends as well. We’ll try to assemble upstairs after the show, outside Blenz coffee bar in the atrium. Hope to meet you.
Great. There aren’t that many of us - I have a bad track record at protests - so I didn’t want to get too many people involved.
The last time I was in a big protest, the premier had to issue an apology.
We’ll be giving out flyers and then going in to film the lumpen - as this is a “newsworthy” event, we will be publishing their pictures on the web after.
