I’ve weasled my way into Maclean’s

In Blog on October 2, 2007 by Robert Jago Tagged:

I was reading an article on the Maclean’s site about the reaction to their ‘Bush is Hitler Saddam’ cover and noticed an unattributed quote from myself via Michelle Malkin’s site.  That brings to about half a dozen the number of major media outlets I’ve got some space and NO CREDIT on.  [Screw you CBC!]  Anyhow, the cover in question is here:

I think Malkin et al were being reactionary with their claims of moonbattery.  They had claimed that Maclean’s was a leftist rag – the magazine of  Mark Steyn and Barbara Amiel – leftist.  Rubbish, that.

  1. I can understand a reluctance to attribute pseudonymous bloggers, but in your case, there’s no reason not to write “Robert Jago.” That’s what I’d do.

I was also amused at the reactions from the US who were ignorant about Maclean’s. It’s had a rightist flavour since Ken Whyte remodeled the place, and at the same time provocative and unmissable. Hope that the self-correction that’s supposed to happen on blogs kicked in.
