Moving Day - Tomorrow Sucks Hard
My new fabulous loft isn’t ready to the 9th but I have to get out of the bed bug place by Saturday at 11am. So I’m moving my few remaining belongings (the rest having been thrown out with their attendant bed bugs) to a storage room tomorrow.
Here’s the schedule - it’s pretty rough:
1. Move over [...]

In bad taste
Is it wrong to laugh at these things?
1. Monkeys are sexually harassing women in Africa:
The monkeys grab their breasts, and gesture at us while pointing at their private parts. We are afraid that they will sexually harass us… read the rest
2. Jason Cherniak is accusing the Tories of ’stealing’ the election:
it took a mixture of [...]

Accepted wisdom
I’m soon to be back working in politics, so I’ve been thinking about issues. The accepted wisdom is typically that: “The environment and health care are likely to set Canada’s political table well into the future”. That’s according to a recent “poll” by the Canadian Medical Association.
Bull. Green issues are a fad.
Do [...]

I support buttons
If you look on the right side of my blog you’ll see a button that says “I support Stephen Harper”. I’ve got that there so that readers know this blog’s bias. But that’s pretty much the only “I Support” button I have. Most blogs - it seems - have many more. [...]

Atheism on-line
I’ve recently joined the atheist blogroll. This was recommended to me by a certain Godless, swine-eating member of a certain chosen people. I tend to avoid group blogrolls as they encourage a lot of self-censorship. But I think this one is fine, because we all only agree on one thing - [...]

[old story, I know...]
I had thought atheism was the ‘in’ thing with the ‘progressive’ left. Apparently not. Take a look at the linked Varsity editorial. Trottier describes it correctly when he paraphrases them as saying: “so what, that doesn’t qualify as a hate crime, you should get used to getting punched or [...]

What’s atheist for ‘fatwa’?
I was reading the ‘Radical Muslim’ blog as I often do, and noticed that he had a list of ‘fatwa-worthy’ sites. Mine wasn’t listed there - though I wish it were. I was listed in recommended sites, which makes me think he hasn’t read this blog too carefully.
Right so what kinds of sites [...]

Ataturk was gay and liked to bum little boys when he wasn’t killing Armenian babies or prancing about in a tutu and belly dancing for visiting sailors.
Ahhhhhh…. it needed saying.

A’dam losing gay-friendly reputation
AMSTERDAM – Nowhere in the world are homosexuals confronted with violence so regularly as in Amsterdam. Gay men and women are now staying away from the Dutch capital because of all the reports on violent incidents recently. This is costing the Amsterdam economy a great deal of money.
Youth sentenced for anti-gay [...]

Top ten amongst the damned
According to Google Canada I among the top ten [noisiest] atheists in this country. Search for ‘atheist + Canadian’ and I’m # 10. Try ‘atheist + Canadian + politician’ and I come in #7. I’m pretty happy about that. But there’s a thing: looking back at my postings on atheism, I [...]

The Christians Next Door
I was reading an article in the Post this morning about a religious controversy in Switzerland. The churches there are fighting over converts. Buried in the article was a reference to the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA). In terms of members or adherents, it is second only to the Catholic Church. From [...]

All over the states, media outlets are proving their liberal bias and childishness. Here in Canada - pfft - nothing. The Globe and Mail’s most aggressive edit - calling President Buchanan ‘gay’. Edgy. As for politicians, a few have commented here on this blog - the only one with anything close to interesting is Chris [...]
